What is the Ceramic Coating Process?
- Class One Detailing will help you choose the best ceramic coating service for your vehicle. We base the selection on the type of vehicle you have, the amount and type of driving you do, how you plan to care for that vehicle, and the goals you hope to achieve with a ceramic coating. We can even show you a test spot on your vehicle so you can see a major difference.
- Your vehicle will be hand washed and cleaned thoroughly by our professional team members. Then it will be dried with air to avoid any micro-marring.
- After the vehicle is washed and dried, will be chemically and mechanically decontaminated with a clay bar, iron remover, and tar remover.
- Professional machines, equipment, compounds, pads, and polishes will be used to prepare the surface of your vehicle for the application of the ceramic coating. This will remove any swirls, micro-marring, or minor paint imperfections that might be on the vehicles surfaces. Depending on your vehicle condition, this can take hours or even several days to complete.
- Once the correction process is completed, the vehicle is completely cleaned and degreased using a professional panel preparation product. This will remove any remaining compounds and polishes from the surface, ensuring the vehicle is clean. This is the final preparation stage before the ceramic coating is installed.
- Once the installation is complete, the vehicle may need to remain indoors and dry for several days for the coating to fully cure and harden. Most ceramic coating installations are performed in 1 to 3 days.
How do I care for a Ceramic Coated Vehicle?
- Do not wash your car with any chemicals for 14 days from the coating application.
- Only wash using a gentle, pH neutral soap.
- Do not use automatic car washes or self service car wash brushes. Use touchless or hand wash only.
- Do not let contaminants like bird droppings remain on any surfaces. Remove them as soon as possible.
- Do not expose the vehicle to acid, caustic chemicals, and any other contaminants that you are aware of.
- Follow the “You Drive = You Care” principal. Each vehicle is subject to a unique life. The harsher the life, the more maintenance it will require.
- If any damage occurs, Contact your Certified Ceramic Pro Installer. Do not try to fix it yourself.
- Always wash your car when it is cool and out of direct sunlight. Never wash when the vehicle is hot.
- Wash your vehicle every every 2 weeks.
- Use Ceramic Pro CARE as a drying aid and topper during the washing process.
- Attend your annual coating maintenance appointment regularly to maintain your vehicle’s Ceramic Pro warranty.
